| Vance’s shaded park area has two picnic pavilions for use year round. One is enclosed while the larger pavilion is covered with open sides. There are cooking grills at each pavilion, electrical capabilities and restroom facilities. Ten concrete areas with picnic tables and barbecue grills are available for use. To reserve the pavilions, please call Equipment Rental, Building 244, (580) 213-7348. Also available are a softball field, sand volleyball court, basketball court, two horseshoe pits, a new frisbee golf course and a children's playground area with several types of playground equipment available. An R.V. Storage Area is also located at the Base Park. Sanitary dump available at no charge. Please call Equipment Rental today for details at (580) 213-7348. Frisbee / Disc Golf Course Vance AFB now has a Frisbee/Disc Golf Course available at the base park. The course has nine holes and the targets (holes) are chain baskets mounted on metal poles. Gather your coworkers or family for a little friendly competition. |
