The Human Resources Office (HRO) is responsible for, and administers the Nonappropriated Funds (NAF) Personnel Management Program. HRO is responsible for the staffing and recruitment of all non-appropriated fund (NAF) positions in the Force Support Squadron. The HRO advises and provides assistance to management in meeting personnel needs and solving personnel problems while insuring programs and actions comply fully with the intent of laws, regulations, and policies. The HRO provides job information for NAF applicants and guidance on personnel matters to employees and supervisors. NAF is federal employment. Vacancies will not necessarily be announced. Therefore, current NAF employees are encouraged to submit an AF Form 2550, NAF Application for promotion or other position changes, if they want to be considered for a position. We have two types of NAF positions: "Flexible" and "Regular." Flexible employees have work schedules that depend on the needs of the activity. These employees may work a minimum of zero hours to a maximum of 40 hours per week, and do not receive benefits. Regular employees work between 20 and 40 hours a week depending on activity requirements, and are entitled to receive benefits. New NAF employment application information: View the NAFJOBS.org for potential positions of employment. Paper applications will no longer be accepted after August 1 2010.
